Crazy Shirley is a character from the Heathcliff comic strip. She is a female cat who has a major crush on Heathcliff, despite him prefering Sonja, but this doesn't stop Crazy Shirley from pursuing him... especially when she never takes no for an answer! She has appeared in the original George Gately comics, Heathcliff and Marmaduke, and the Heathcliff comic series from Marvel Comics.

Crazy Shirley is the kind of girl to pursue Heathcliff just as heatedly like Spike would, except for romantic reasons. She will literally stop at nothing in her obsessive chase to make Heathcliff her tomcat boyfriend.

She is obsessive like a groupie at a concert, and hard to shake off like a heat-seeking missile.

Crazy Shirley is white cat with a blonde ponytail tied back with a red ribbon, bangs, thick eyelashes, a big red nose like that of a clown, and prominent buck teeth.

Crazy Shirley has a crush on him, and would often go after him in order to make him be her boyfriend.

Shirley and Sonja are considered rivals mainly to Heathcliff's affections, thus the two often don't get along, because of that they will fight often over him whenever the two interact. Whenever Crazy Shirley attempts to kiss him around her, she would not be hesitate to chase her off.
She and Sonja are sometimes willingly to put aside their differences to spend time with Heathcliff. They have been seen ocassionally being friends in some strips.

- Though she is absent in Heathcliff & the Catillac Cats series, Terrible Tammy posses some of her traits albeit more antagonizing: being a Queen cat with a bow, having gray fur instead of white, and serving as a bullying nuisance to Heathcliff.
